I am an infrequent blogger. There. It's out in the open right at the beginning. There have been times in my life when I was very consistent, but that was when emotions, hormones, and pheromones ran high (wait, that's kind of still true) -- and before diapers, bills, and Hulu.
For a while now I have wanted to create my own "grown up" blog but there were two things hindering me: November and an overabundance of ideas. November, for those of you not in the know, is National Novel Writing Month, and if you participate (which I did) then it becomes the central focus of your entire life for that month. Even in the months leading up to November, I postponed starting a blog, so as to save my "writing juice" for my novel.
More importantly, my overabundance of ideas stopped me the most. The best blogs I've read, even if they're just my friends', have a theme. What would my theme be? My journey to losing weight after 2 kids in 2 years? My love of writing and reading? My hilarious and infuriating kids? My marriage? The funny doodles I come up with? I just couldn't decide, because all of those topics are my favorite to talk/write about.
So instead, I am starting several "blogs," but they will all be posted here. It's kind of like just having a single blog about everything, but different, if only because I say so.
So here are my starting stats:
Kids: 2. Liam (2 years) and Darcie (1 year)
Hubby: Yes. His name is Ben. He's ridiculously awesome.
Writing: Currently some poetry, taking a break from my novel.
Reading: Anne's House of Dreams by L.M. Montgomery
Size: 16 (goal is 10)
Doodles: ...do not have any current ones on my computer. Hope to remedy this soon.
Here we go!
